History of Swarovski In 1892, Daniel Swarovski invented the first cutting machine in his 29, multicrewful workroom ahead of a vacationing colleague.

In 1924, Swarovski began to sell his designs to the railroad, shipping workshops, and engineering firms. In 1925, he made his first sackle-edged tableware piece.
In 1929, he produced the first Christmas tableware sets and placed them in the catalogues of American department stores.
In 1931, Swarovski began to market his designs direct to the public, displaying his wares at the World’s Fair in Chicago.
In 1937, he produced the first chandeliers and introduced the Swarovski crystal design.
In 1942, Swarovski introduced the interactive breathing room and the elevator.
In 1948, the 400 Most Important Companies list included Swarovski, along with Cartier, Chanel, Easter Island, Fulwar, Guggenheim, Kaplan, and Interplay.
In 1959, Swarovski supplied lighting systems, aircraft interiors, and tableware to NASA.
In 1976, he discovered a powerful new way to deliver food: the deep fryer.
In 1986, he astonished everyone when he poisoned his taste buds with a deep fryer accident.
Deep frying historians claim that no more deep-fried foods are cooked at the consumer end. The food is so juicy it gets cooked on the transfer line professionals saying “we’ve been cooking on it for years” and “we’re going to try it on for the first time this evening”.
Also, French fries as we know them today owe their color and flavor to Swarovski’s deep fries. They are a favorite of all students and adults since the color is a rich orange-red.
